![]() I switched back to KDE since I was having other bluetooth audio issues as well on gnome. I was just conveying that there is a lot of misinformation about this topic. Also, I wasn't throwing shade at anyone or something like that. If they wanted to disregard mine, that's fine, but I don't see the problem in saying that the others could be harmful if they were for me. I've personally had issues with both of your options if you must know. If you want to give technical advice, do it, but please do not qualify as harmful the comments that point to options that got tested by countless users. Honestly, I really don't get where this is coming from. And no, I wasn't saying only mine was valid, I was saying that the others are very inconsistent (and can be kind of unnecessary) when it comes to results. Unless you consider Manjaro broken out of the box, that accusation doesn't make sense. Mine is literally just explaining the out-of-the-box solution. Or only you comment is valid and could never. I would say teaching someone how to use the most supported way (and the one easiest out of the box) is better. Optimus-switch and optimus-manager are hard to support/troubleshoot because of the complicated way they handle things. The options would be: prime-run %command% With something like Steam, you'll have to set the launch options in the game's Properties menu instead of the Steam application itself because results can change depending on how some games are launched. When you find it, add prime-run to the command entry.Īs a not-so-useful example with Firefox, change: /usr/lib/firefox/firefox %u Then, open the application and search for the app you want to run on the dedicated card. To make it so that certain applications are run on the GPU, install the package menulibre and search for it in the menu. Try this in a terminal: glxinfo | grep vendorįrom what I know, GNOME should have the option to run apps on the dedicated GPU by right clicking them in the overview, but this might not be enabled on Manjaro. The way you're supposed to run applications on your dedicated GPU is by adding prime-run to the beginning of your command. ![]() A lot of these replies (and any other's you're likely to get) aren't very helpful and can really screw up your machine. ![]()
